PASTIC

Together with the Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre, we bridge the gap between research and industry — building modern software and technology solutions that create real impact.

History

The Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (PASTIC) traces its roots to the Pakistan National Scientific and Technical Documentation Centre (PANSDOC), established in 1957 with UNESCO's assistance under the Pakistan Council of Scientific & Industrial Research. In 1974, PASTIC was launched as an expanded project built around PANSDOC's foundation and transferred to the Pakistan Science Foundation, Islamabad, where it continues to operate as a subsidiary organization under the Ministry of Science & Technology. Headquartered at the Quaid-i-Azam University campus in Islamabad, PASTIC extends its reach through six sub-centres across Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Muzaffarabad, and Quetta, serving as Pakistan's premier hub for the dissemination of scientific and technological information to researchers, industry, and academia nationwide.

Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre

We are proud to partner with PASTIC, Pakistan's premier organization for the dissemination of scientific and technological information. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to advancing research, innovation, and knowledge-driven development across Pakistan's science and technology landscape.

Through this partnership, we aim to support PASTIC's mission by contributing modern software solutions, digital information systems, and data-driven tools that strengthen bibliographic services, document supply, and research databases. By combining technical innovation with subject expertise, we seek to make scientific information more accessible to researchers, engineers, and entrepreneurs across the country.

The partnership also promotes knowledge sharing, capacity building, and the development of technology-driven platforms tailored to the research and academic community. Together, we are working to build a more connected, efficient, and future-ready scientific information ecosystem for Pakistan.
